The "who's, who" of Early Egyptian Society
During the Early Egyptian Society the social classes were structured much like a pyramid. At the top of the pyramid was the Pharaoh, who was the ruler. Below the Pharaoh were Nobles, who mainly consisted of Priest and Government Officials. Below the Nobles were a middle class that consisted of Scribes, Merchants, lesser Government Officials, and Crafts-people. The bottom of the pyramid consisted of Farmers, Servants, and Slaves. Even though farmers were on the bottom of the pyramid, they were still considered above servants and slaves.
